Hibbing Public Utilities will be conducting a draining of the Ansley Water Tower on Wednesday April 7th for our upcoming reconditioning project. 

Between Wednesday April 7th and Friday April 9th, if you notice any change in your water, please call Corey Lubovich, Director of Utility Operations at 218-262-7725 for answers and advice. There is no health concern associated with this exercise. 

 

Starting this week, HPUC will begin its once every 20 year project to refurbish the Ansley Water Tower. This is to ensure clean and safe water to the residents of Hibbing.

The tower holds 1,000,000 gallons of the BEST drinking water in the region. Work will include repairs, cleaning and painting of the interior wet, interior dry and exterior shell. With this project, HPUC is taking steps to ensure a quality water supply to the residents of Hibbing. 

Please stop by and observe the work going on while maintaining a safe distance from the site. At this point, we do not anticipate any interuptions: however we will keep you posted on information and/or any impacts that occur.
