SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR
Public Utilities Commission
The Hibbing Public Utilities Commission is seeking an individual for the full-time, management position of Safety/Environmental Coordinator.
HPU is comprised of electric generation, electric distribution, water, gas and steam operations.
This individual would be responsible for utility-wide safety and environmental control, compliance, training, reporting and record retention. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management or Associate Degree and three years of safety/environmental experience, or five years of safety/environmental or regulatory experience in a utility setting; familiar with EPA, MPCA, OSHA, MNOPS, and other regulatory agencies relevant to utility operations. Excellent health and leave benefits.
Salary range of $50K to 65K DOQ.

The Hibbing Public Utilities Commission is seeking individuals for the full-time, bargaining unit position of Apprentice Lineman. Applicants must have graduated from a Technical Power Linework Training Program (technical school or equivalent). Job duties include the installation, repair and maintenance of power distribution lines, transformers and related equipment up to 23KV; and street lighting systems in the area served by the Hibbing Public Utilities, including on-call reporting requirements.
